Instant Pot Honey Sesame Chicken

Ingredients

  • 2 1/2-3 lbs boneless and skinless chicken breast in bite-sized pieces
  • Salt
  • Ground black pepper

Honey Sesame Sauce

  • 1/4 cup chicken broth
  • 1/4 cup honey¹
  • 1/4 cup lite soy sauce
  • 2 tablespoons apple cider vinegar
  • 2 tablespoons sesame oil
  • 1 teaspoon fresh grated ginger
  • 1 teaspoon garlic chile sauce²
  • 4 cloves garlic minced
  • 2 tablespoons water
  • 2 tablespoons cornstarch
  • Sesame Seeds
  • Green onion

Instructions

  • Place chicken in pressure cooker inner pot.
  • Season with salt and pepper.
  • Whisk the sauce ingredients together in a bowl.
  • Pour over chicken.
  • Lock lid in place, and turn pressure release valve to "SEALING".
  • Press "POULTRY" and adjust time to 5 minutes.
  • Let the pressure release naturally for 10 minutes.
  • Carefully turn the pressure release valve to "VENTING", and release remaining pressure.
  • Stir 2 tablespoons cornstarch and 2 tablespoons water together until combined.
  • Add to inner pot, and stir in.
  • Turn to "SAUTE", and cook until sauce has thickened.
  • Serve sprinkled with seasame seeds and chopped green onion.
